Privacy Policy

Short version: Remember Me stores everything you write locally on your device using Apple's CloudKit (which syncs privately across your own Apple devices via iCloud). We do not run a server that stores your journal entries, photos, or personal reflections. We do not sell or share your data. Optional AI features send only the text you choose to a third-party AI provider under an account you supply.

1. What we don't do

• We do not collect analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or usage tracking.
• We do not display advertising and we do not sell your information to advertisers or data brokers.
• We do not maintain a Remember Me server that stores your content. Your notes, images, audio, and memories stay on your device and in your own iCloud account.

2. Data stored on your device and in your iCloud

All memories, entries, photos, voice notes, and reflections you create in Remember Me are stored:

• Locally on the device where you created them.
• Synced to your other Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account, via Apple's CloudKit.

Apple's privacy policy governs how CloudKit stores this data. We have no ability to read, access, or share your CloudKit data.

3. Optional AI features (Bring Your Own Key)

Remember Me includes optional features that use a large language model (LLM) to help you reflect, summarize, or generate prompts based on the content you choose to share with the AI. These features require you to supply your own API key for a third-party AI provider (e.g. OpenAI).

When you use these features:

• The text or content you specifically choose to send is transmitted directly from your device to that AI provider using your key.
• Remember Me does not receive or retain a copy of that transmission on any server we control.
• The AI provider's own privacy policy governs how it handles that request. Review it before using this feature.

You can disable AI features at any time by removing your API key in Settings.

4. Subscription and payments

Subscriptions (if any) are managed through Apple's App Store. We do not receive your payment information; Apple handles all billing under its own privacy policy.

5. Children

Remember Me is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

6. Changes

If we materially change how the app treats your data, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
